Apply to TEACHING Institution: Student applies to the Graduate School as a Non-Degree student at Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation, ASU at Downtown Phoenix location. Complete ASU’s Application for Admission at this website: https://webapp4.asu.edu/dgsadmissions/Index.jsp. There is a $70.00 application fee. The student is reimbursed for this fee.

Student Account: Student is issued an ASU ID number and ASURITE UserID, with an activation code that will allow the student to activate their ASURITE UserID. Student will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access their MyASU account. 

Student Notification: The Graduate College notifies students when they have been accepted to ASU. Student is notified by the ASU CSC of registration in the NEXus course. Student will log in to their MyASU account to access the course, payment, technology platforms, etc.

Course Enrollment: The ASU Registrar enrolls the student.

Platform: Teaching faculty use use Canvas to deliver content, which operates online so students do not have to install any software. Students must have high speed internet connection, a microphone, and webcam.

Payment: Students are billed through their ASU account which can be viewed on the ‘Finances’ tab of their MyASU page. Students can pay online using credit/debit card or eCheck, or by mail-in check. Payment deadlines can be found at https://tuition.asu.edu/billing-finances/deadlines. Late fees are assessed if students pay after the tuition deadline and are the student’s responsibility.

Teaching Faculty Contact: The student should contact the instructor if needed. Most instructors will contact students the first week of the course, but some instructors may contact students the week before class starts. Contact is made through the student’s ASU email account.

Course materials/ Library access: A syllabus will be available in Canvas noting required textbooks and materials. Students will be able to view the course in Canvas once they are fully enrolled. The majority of materials needed for the class will be available in Canvas within the ASU Library Resource Organizer or through the ASU bookstore.

Course: Student completes course.

Add/Drop the course: The student should notify the instructor and teaching institutions CSC. Students can drop the course prior to the drop deadline on their MyASU page using the ‘Registration’ tab in ‘My Classes’ section. The withdrawal deadline usually occurs 1-2 weeks after the course begins. Please check the Academic Calendar at https://registrar.asu.edu/academic-calendar.

Transcript: Transcripts are requested through the student’s MyASU page under the ‘My Programs’ section using the ‘Transcript and Diploma’ tab. Student will click on ‘Official Transcript’ and will be prompted to pay a fee. The fee for official transcripts is $15 and will be reimbursed.

Other: If ASU Health Services has put a Hold on the student account requiring an MMR record, contact the ASU CSC to request a waiver.
