NURS 6223 Applied Statistics II

You need an advanced statistics course. Yet where do you go to get conceptual explanations instead of complex math? Applied Statistics II (NURS 6223) may be for you! This second semester statistics course is designed for graduate students in the health professions. Students who recently completed a basic statistics course (including one-way ANOVA) are eligible for this course.

Topics in Applied Statistics II include:

  • Two-way and repeated measures ANOVA designs
  • ANCOVA
  • Multiple regression
  • Measurement issues
  • Power analysis

The instructor, Lise DeShea, Ph.D., understands adult learners. As one of her students wrote, “She has a talent to take such complex content and make it understandable, and does so with the best effect and personality… She was expedient with emails, which is greatly appreciated as a distance learner.”

Dr. DeShea understands that students often dread statistics courses. She tailors her materials to make statistics understandable and applicable to the real world. An award-winning instructor with more than 20 years of experience, she uses examples from actual research in the health sciences to bring statistics to life. She is committed to work as hard as her students toward their successful learning.

Are you wondering whether you are ready for this statistics course? Check out the course details at NEXus Course Catalog Spring 2018 NURS 6223
